This year seemed to be a good year to skip sending holidays cards. There was such a sameness to our days in quarantine. But with each holiday card we received, my guilt grew for not doing one. So I made a homegrown one that reflected our current status: hair overgrowth and quarantine crafts to artfully cover our growing patches…

Being a total beginner crocheter, I sought a simple pattern. I love the texture of the puff stitches on these hats I found at this mompreneur’s site, A Crafty Concept.

Knitpicking Yarns

I’ve collected yarn in my travels. And in a way, actually using them provided a sense of closure on 2020. Quarantine has settled me down to using them. They’re all fingering to worsted weight yarns. My daughter wears a denim color of mystery fiber content from Michaels, while the two gents wear yarns from KnitPicks. The one I wear is from So Much Yarn at Pike’s Place in Seattle:
