This rose sculpted gelato I captured in my hand and consumed on a cobblestone street in Paris reminds me of the joys of travel and simple forms of bliss. It cheers me up and reminds me of wonderful forms of vacation, when we could call a vacation a vacation. Part of that was the prospect of traveling somewhere, taking a journey to another country or a scenic metropolis of our choosing, taking in the latest shows and visiting museums.

While in quarantine, I’ve reminisced my past points of travel, looking through old photographs. This rose sculpted gelato came into my hands on a cobblestoned street in Paris. To commemorate that moment of travel related bliss, I’ve created this graphic. It’s meant as an homage to international travel and to cities, which have been hit by the pandemic so drastically, shutting down the pulse of urban life, hubs of culture and commerce. I have always loved urban life and its conveniences, access to urban parks and culture.
